 Curtis Taylor
Director of Admission

Dr. Curtis J. Taylor joined the International Teachers College at Universitas Pelita Harapan in August of 2015 as the Director of Admissions.  In this capacity he has the privilege of recruiting qualified Christian students from around the world for the primary and secondary education programs that the ITC offers.


Prior to coming to Indonesia, Dr. Taylor served Dordt College in Iowa (USA) for 23 years in various administrative roles, including Dean for Global Education, Special Assistant to the President, Vice President for Student Services, and Director of Residence Life.  While in Iowa, Dr. Taylor also served as a member of the board of directors of St. Luke’s College and as vice president of the Sioux Center Christian School Board.  He also served as President of the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce.Prior to his time in Iowa, Dr. Taylor held administrative positions at the University of Washington (USA) and Michigan State University (USA).


Dr. Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Calvin College (USA), a master's degree in college and university administration from Michigan State University (USA), and a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy studies from Iowa State University (USA).  He has been married to Sheryl Sheeres Taylor for 28 years.  Mrs. Taylor is a professional library director who is currently serving at the Johannes Oetenoro Library at Universitas Pelita Harapan.  The Taylor's have three children:  Ian Curtis-21 (who was recently married to Elli Elizabeth Krosschell, and who still lives in the USA) Willem Levi-17, and Mia Soo-Jee-13, both of whom are senior school students at Sekolah Pelita Harapan in Jakarta.
